PAJ was designed by and is led by Jeff Immelt and Kimberly Kleiman-Lee, who are uniquely positioned to deliver leadership education that is accessible, contemporary, and works for small as well as big businesses.

Jeff brings lessons learned as CEO of GE into each session, as well as his recent work in venture capital and as an instructor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Kimberly is a highly respected teacher, coach, and speaker. She has led development courses for 5,000+ executives, including at the renowned GE Crotonville.

JEFF IMMELT

Jeff Immelt joined NEA in 2018 as a Venture Partner working with innovative, growth companies in healthcare, industrial automation, clean tech and IoT. His primary focus is to help founders grow and win. He is the author of HOT SEAT, a memoir of leadership in times of crisis, and teaches a course on leading through disruption at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jeff has been named one of the “World’s Best CEOs” three times by Barron’s. During his tenure as CEO, GE was named “America’s Most Admired Company” by Fortune magazine and one of “The World’s Most Respected Companies” in polls by Barron’s and the Financial Times. He has received fifteen honorary degrees and numerous awards for business leadership and chaired the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness under the Obama administration.

Jeff earned a B.A. degree in applied mathematics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He currently serves on the board for several NEA portfolio companies. In addition, he is on the public boards of Bloom Energy, Desktop Metal, Bright Health, Hennessy Capital V, and Twilio. He is also on the private board of Sila Nanotechnologies. Jeff is a member of The American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

He and his wife have one daughter.

KIMBERLY KLEIMAN-LEE

Kimberly founded KKL & Co. in 2017 to transform leaders into the curious, compassionate, and global stewards our future deserves. Her practice offers executive coaching, leadership workshops, and business strategy. Kimberly served GE for 20 years; with her final seven years teaching and coaching at the renowned GE Crotonville. Her team led the company’s Leadership Learning & Development strategy and solutions for 330,000 employees. Her honest, intuitional, and methodical approach to individual and team development earned her the respect of leaders throughout GE. Her consultancy predominantly serves Private Equity and Venture Capital firms wanting to elevate the skills of the executive leaders in their portfolios.

Kimberly obtained her BA from the University of Wisconsin Madison and her Masters in Adult Education and Leadership Studies from Loyola University Chicago.

Kimberly lives in Delafield, Wisconsin with her husband and their three children.
